Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Exemplify Stampin' Up!'s core values: we care about people first, we act with courage, we better our best and we own it.
  2. Lead and manage a team, establishing expectations and holding the team accountable to meeting them (LMA).
  3. Accurately prepare and/or coordinate the timely filing of company income, franchise, property and insurance tax returns. Research and investigate sales tax changes in law and amend existing processes as required to maintain ongoing compliance.
  4. Provide accurate and timely tax information to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators by preparing and filing U.S. Forms 1099, Canadian Forms T4A.
  5. Ensure compliance with U.S. and international taxing and regulatory agencies through the development, implementation and maintenance of proper transfer pricing models.
  6. Oversee and assist with sales, VAT and GST tax collection and reporting requirements.
  7. Coordinate the company's participation and response to various taxing jurisdiction income, sales and use tax audits.  Resolve issues or disagreements with appropriate tax authorities. Use available research tools to obtain support for defense of all Stampin' Up! income, sales and use tax positions.


  1. Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance with emphasis in Tax. CPA preferred.
  2. Five or more years of experience preparing and reviewing tax returns, researching tax laws, and complying with audits.
  3. Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate issues and make appropriate improvements.
  4. Multi-state sales and use tax experience. Experience with VAT/GST taxes preferred. 
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to interact with all levels of management when necessary.
