Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Exemplify Stampin' Up!'s core values: we care about people first, we act with courage, we better our best, and we own it.
  2. Lead and manage a team, establishing expectations and holding the team accountable to meeting them (LMA).
  3. Work with quality, supply chain, and the China team to approve new suppliers by auditing their facility, developing relationships, and managing projects to ensure that Stampin' Up! is properly prioritized and valued as a key customer to the supplier. Assist in improving relations with existing suppliers by reducing costs and recommending new product ideas.
  4. Produce initial specifications for new products, while creating all internal documentation to facilitate supplier set up, quoting, item set up, forecasting, purchasing, and logistics.
  5. Ensure all contracts and agreements are in the best interest of the company, working with legal and other stakeholders to protect the company and ensure service levels are met.
  6. Negotiate costs, minimum order quantities, lead times, tooling costs, and all other aspects of a product to ensure the highest quality products for the best value.
  7. Manage the supplier management team by ensuring supplier scorecards are measured and shared with key stakeholders, developing new suppliers, and collaborating with purchasing and quality to evaluate suppliers based on quality and cost of product. Work with the product management director and team to establish processes, procedures, and documentation that supports the achievement of strategic objectives of the organization. 


  1. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  2. Seven years of experience in product development, sourcing, purchasing, and manufacturing or other equivalent product related experience.
  3. Experience in managing supplier performance with proven track record in negotiating arrival time, cost and quality parameters.
  4. Ability to lead other team members, including direct reports, to meet project timelines and perform with a high level of excellence. Ability to lead, train, and mentor others to increase performance.
  5. Some travel required, including international.
  6. Achieve a superior rating in the Munsell 100 Hue Color Test.
